Forest Floors Interview
On FRI27APR Portsmouth hosted their leg of the competition ‘Road to Blissfields’ where local bands from selected towns/cities in the South of England compete for a spot on Blissfield’s festival line up. You can find out more about England’s greatest weekend online and by listening to Express FM 10-12 with Leigh & Joel in the morning. Bear Cavalry (Portsmouth favorites) headlined the competition following their win last year.
Portsmouth acts that performed:
Laurel > if you like Laura Marling, Lets Buy Happiness, Lianna La Havas, Lucy Rose, vocals that send chills down your back, put a smile on your face and the package (aka a chick playing guitar) then be sure to look out for Laurel. Forest Floors > interview above, these guys recently supported One Night Only and HARES and had a very strong set during the competition. I can’t help but link them to Editors, Miles Kane, leather jackets, old decor styled shirts and drummers in shorts. The boys will be playing at The Surya in London in July @ForestFloors

Thursday night I managed to catch up with the very handsome and talented trio HARES on one of their last tour dates supporting One Night Only. Rob, Jack, Adam & techy Henry were an absolute pleasure to meet, not gonna lie had quite the giggle with them too. The recording is rough, a lot more post production is needed before this airs but let me know what you think so far…. warning: I appreciate there is quite an obsession with the use of the hashtag throughout the interview.
